Errors in Modern India Postage Stamps
A Monthly Column by P R Krishnan
August 2012

In my second article I would like to bring a wonderful error "Black Omitted" occurred on the issue of World Classical Tamil Conference issued June 27, 2010.
The total quantity issued is 0.3 million consisting of 35 stamps a sheet in the formation of 7 stamps horizontally and 5 stamps vertically.
Total number of sheets printed approx 8572 sheets.
The complete black omitted noticed on the top 2 rows of 14 stamps.
This is the only sheet reported so far with this error.
Later the person who found the sheet has broken the error portion into 3 blocks and a vertical pair.
This is going to be one of the classical error of modern India in the years to come.
For the benefit of the collectors I have on display the complete sheet.
